About the Business Development Coordinator role:
Stefanie Santos McLeese, LLC, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Contract Business Development Coordinator to join our team. Part of our business growth strategy is hyper-focused on procuring contracts with Illinois state agencies. Our business is a certified WMBE within the Illinois Business Enterprise Program (BEP) and we are a designated set-aside program vendor within the Illinois Procurement Gateway. The ideal candidate for this role has experience doing business with the state of Illinois. This role requires a proactive approach to lead generation and a strategic mindset to identify and cultivate promising contract opportunities and client relationships. The secondary pillar of focus for this role is to strategically lead and leverage HubSpot for customer relationship management. This is a contract position with base pay, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute significantly to the growth of our firm and earn commission on closed contracts.
Responsibilities:

Review and Manage State Contracting Portals: Establish an agreed upon SOP for routinely assessing opportunities; make recommendations on appropriate contracts to pursue; support proposal development and submissions.

Lead Generation & Outreach: Proactively identify and research potential clients within target industries using various resources, including LinkedIn, industry publications, and online databases. Utilize HubSpot CRM to manage and track all outreach activities.

Targeted Communication: Craft personalized and compelling outreach messages (emails, LinkedIn connection requests, HubSpot, etc.) to engage potential clients and introduce our services.

Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on pre-defined criteria, assessing their needs, budget, and decision-making process. Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.

Opportunity Identification: Identify and develop potential sales opportunities by understanding client challenges and presenting tailored solutions that align with our service offerings.

Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities and lead progress within HubSpot, ensuring seamless tracking and reporting.

Relationship Building: Nurture relationships with potential clients through consistent follow-up, providing valuable insights and building rapport.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Santos McLeese team to develop effective outreach strategies and refine messaging.

Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports on lead generation activities, conversion rates, and overall pipeline health. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Strategic Input: Contribute to the development of lead generation strategies and identify new avenues for business development. Share insights and market intelligence to help refine our target audience and service offerings.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the consulting industry and specifically with the state of Illinois or other government contracting.

Proficiency in using HubSpot CRM for lead management, email marketing, and reporting.

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

Strong research and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote, contract-based environment.
